By ensuring our teachers provide all children with a warm, caring environment, they develop a strong sense of belonging. We take a consistent approach to routines for feeding, nappy changing and sleep, which offers the children security and an understanding of what to expect each day.
OUR INFANTS AND TODDLERS
At Heretaunga Park, we acknowledge that some families need to return to work soon after the arrival of their precious wee bundle. So we accept enrolments from birth and focus on providing a nurturing home away from home environment.
Our infant and toddler programme provides an engaging learning environment that allows the children in this space to develop their natural curiosity about the world.
WHAT WE OFFER
Healthy MealsWe understand that the relationship between nutrition, health and learning is of paramount importance in a child's development. Our on-site qualified chef prepares all meals in accordance with the NZ Heart Foundation guidelines. We cater for all dietary needs and ensure that all food is a suitable consistency for all our infants including those starting out on solids.
Separate Outdoor AreaOur children learn at their own pace, through their interests and creativity. A separate outdoor area invites the children to explore, providing an opportunity to enhance their physical development. An extensive range of age and developmentally appropriate resources are always accessible and regularly rotated to ensure variety.
